10:23 am - *tired* So Jason and I woke up at 5:30 this morning. He got a call from his former employer (from like 3 years ago, lol) yesterday, and he asked him to work for him. :) He quickly quit his other job, lol, and is now working construction, again. :) So he has to be to work reallyreally early (7 a.m.)...I'm just glad he's working. :)
So My brother and his bitch girlfriend were arguing at 3 fucking a.m., and kept Jason and I up for about an hour and a half. I told my mom she needs to lay down the law today. She told them last night that she's SICK of them fighting at all hours of the night and waking us up...oh do I hope she kicks 'em out....... I'm just so sick of their disrespect, ya know? Stewpid sakos...
Pictures.
I watched a bird building it's nest in our backyard today. It was fascinating to me.....a few times it's mouth was so full of shit, that it could barely hold itself up to fly...lol! Yeah, i'm easily amused...
I love the poncho my mom made for me........if you didn't already click the link above, then go do so and check it out...it's kewt. :)
Anyways sakos, I must go find entertainment......................

Anyways, class was so boring today......we didn't do anything, and then my professor made me teach the class how to use the college website like 20 minutes before class got out. Next time someone asks me if I know how to do something, i'm just gonna say 'no'...I'm not a very good teacher, I get frustrated really quickly if someone doesn't understand something soon enough :-P
My mom and I are going walking/jogging this afternoon, like always. Woop, I feel like i'm really starting to get into shape...I haven't stepped on a scale since I went to the "female clinic" (lol) a few months ago...I hate scales, they lie to you. You could be getting into shape and not losing any weight because muscle weighs more than fat. But like I was saying, my clothes are starting to feel looser.......
I have an english paper to write (ok, just edit, I wrote it a week ago, lol), two projects to due for college 101, and an algebra test to study for. I hate homework.........
As has been the case for many days now :-P I have new pics up....again. click here to be Hawlified. lmfao i'm a dork. :-P

Anyways, today has started off pretty boring. One of my little brother's friends keeps calling my phone at 8 o'clock every fucking morning, and when I answer, they hang up. I told him to tell this bitch to NEVER call my damn line again *rolls eyes*. Kids piss me off, lol.....
Jason just called, and said he was planning on hanging out w/ his best friend, Chris, today after he was done job hunting. Now that's cool, but, when I asked when he was coming over today he said that he didn't know....I was like :'( and it made me sad 'cause we see each other everyday....so he said he'd come over at 6 and have dinner w/ me, lol! I know how to get what I want :-P
And now i'm off to play w/ my doggie. :)

I bought fez this cute purple harness today (which I left in Jason's car, along w/ a rawhide bone....i'm a dumbass, oh well...i'll get it this afternoon...). It's one of those one's that goes over their chest and neck, and I guess it's supposed to make walking them easier. Jason and I saw the cutest puppies at Petland this morning...there was this Beagle/Pug mix (aka 'Bug' lol) that we wanted so bad.....cutest fucking thing ever....but I think Fez is still too needy to deal with another dog right now, we're gonna wait until she's a little older to bring another one into the mix.......we previously had another dog, but he was having major behavior problems so we adopted him out to a friend....but, Fez and him didn't really get along too well, lol..............
So anyways, about the Beagle/Pug mix......it looked like this little guy:

I want one. :)
Once upon a time....and man dreamed that he could have a swimming pool full of rubber duckies....

07:06 pm - My english paper......... ........I am posting it here for the purposes of boring you all to death, just as I was writing it :)
Gay Marriage: A Civil Rights Issue
Prior to the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s, in numerous states, it was illegal to marry interracially. Now in modern times, a new civil rights movement is occurring; this time, however, the matter is not the color of one’s skin, but rather one’s sexual orientation. Whether or not the government should be permitted to involve themselves in this issue--and to what extent their involvement should be--has become an enormous debate in The United States. In a country where freedom prevails, many question why such restrictions are being placed on gay couples, and their rights to marry whomever they choose. Scores of people are against same-sex marriages, and everything that they stand for, but should public opinion govern whether or not two people should be allowed to commit themselves to one another? The benefits of being married are copious; Social Security benefits, inheritance rights if there is an absence of a will, the ability to file joint tax returns, the ability to make medical decisions for one’s spouse if they should become incapacitated, rights to visit one’s spouse in the hospital, health and life insurance benefits, and the list goes on. Many gay couples feel discriminated against, and these feelings of isolation are justified. Take the case of Karen Thompson and Sharon Kowalski, who could have been considered “…[S]pouses in every [aspect] except the legal.” (Stoddard 551). On November 13, 1983 Sharon Kowalski was severely injured in a car accident, in which her car was struck by a drunk driver. As a result of this crash, Sharon lost the capacity to function on her own, and needed constant care. Karen Thompson, Sharon’s partner, sought to get legal custody of her, however, Sharon’s parents opposed, and obtained full guardianship of their daughter. The Kowalski’s moved their daughter 300 miles away, and Karen was forbidden from visiting her partner whom she loved so much. Years later, the two women were granted permission to see each other once more, “but the prolonged injustice…inflicted on both women [holds] a moral for everyone” (Stoddard 551). The previously stated is far more than just a sob-story, but rather a reality for many gay couples. Same-Sex couples all over the country are being denied the right to marry the one they love because it has been determined, by the majority, their love is not the same as that of heterosexual couples. To say that this denial of basic human rights is a grave injustice is an understatement; 40 years ago, blacks could not marry whites, yet today one would not think of denying anyone the right to marry simply based on the color of their skin. Today “[more than half of all people in the United States oppose gay marriage, even though three fourths are otherwise supportive of gay rights” (Bidstrup 1). Why is this? The truth is, the majority of Americans are ignorant when it comes to understanding gay rights. Ask any random American to define marriage, the answer you will most likely hear is “marriage is an institution between one man and one woman” (Bidstrup 2). This excuse is simply ridiculous; after all, who says what marriage is and who should be permitted to participate in it? Some would also say that marriage is a means to procreate; another ridiculous justification. If this is the case, then why not deny all couples who simply can not have children the right to marry. Tradition should not shape the law; before it was abolished, slavery was a tradition, particularly in the southern United States. In reality, the real reason why most Americans oppose same-sex marriage is because they are “just not comfortable with the idea” (Bidstrup 8). There is also a vast religious undertone to this resistance. However, in the United States, there exists a freedom of religion, which in turn also means a freedom from religion. To allow religion to shape the law is an enormous violation of rights, because no one religion can be called the right one. The actual reason why same-sex marriage is illegal is based more on prejudices than on factual evidence that, if gays should be given the right to marry, there would be immense consequences. Another colossal issue is that many believe homosexuality is a choice. Research has shown, however, that human beings are not the only ones who display homosexual tendencies; a wide variety of animals, “…beetles, sheep, fruit bats, dolphins, and orangutans” all exhibit homosexual behavior (Owen 1). As a result of this research, more people are beginning to believe that homosexuality is innate, and not a choice at all. So having said that, denying homosexuals the right to marry is an outrage, and is no better than denying this right to one based on the color of their skin. Those who oppose same-sex marriage are not malicious people, but rather fearful individuals. Many opposers are afraid that “among the likeliest effects of gay marriage is to take [society] down a slippery slope to legalized polygamy…” (Kurtz 1). While this fear may be a justifiable one, there is no evidence which shows that, if gay marriage should be legalized, that polygamy would also become authorized. Many European countries now have legalized gay marriage--including Denmark and Belgium-- and there have yet to be any negative consequences. More recently, Canada has declared that “discrimination based on sexual orientation is [illegal], thus, excluding gays from marriage is unconstitutional” (Marriage laws 1). Countless people oppose the idea of same-sex marriage because they fear “gay marriage will hurt [families] and children” (Moorehouse F07). Truth be told, “gay families instill unconditional love, peace, tolerance, and acceptance - things you are not teaching your children by trying to prevent the equal rights of [the] minority”. (Moorehouse F07). Children who grow up with homosexual parents do not feel there is anything iniquitous with homosexuality; also, the orientation of a child’s parent(s) has not been shown to influence them in any way. In a world filled with love-less marriages and divorce, loving gay couples whom desire to marry and adopt children are the last thing society needs to agonize about. Recently, President George W. Bush has come out in favor of a constitutional amendment which would ban gay marriage. The proposed amendment reads as follows: “Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution, nor the Constitution of any state, shall be construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman” (Amendment 1). If the proposed amendment were to pass, it could prevent gay couples from obtaining any legal rights whatsoever. To amend the constitution to prevent an occurrence which still stands to be illegal is superfluous.
As stated earlier, the struggle for legalized gay marriage has often been compared to the struggle of blacks in the 1960’s. While the similarities are numerous, many blacks resent this comparison; “The civil rights movement was…a movement for the equal rights of all Americans: education, voting rights, jobs…gay rights in terms of gay marriage is a movement for a special group of Americans” (DeBose, A01). While the previous statement may be true, would marriage not be considered a right which all Americans are entitled to? The struggle of homosexuals for equal marriage rights is vastly similar to that of blacks fighting for their rights in the 60’s. In both cases, the aspiration is to merely be acknowledged as a free individual, and to be given the same rights as every other American citizen.
While those opposing gay marriage would prefer that society eschew legalizing gay marriage, those in favor of it will continue the uphill battle. As was the case 40 years ago, many Americans are simply too closed-minded to accept such a radical change in American law just yet. However, as was the case with the Civil Rights Movement, someday those in opposition of same-sex marriages may open their hearts to the idea of change, and equality for all. The issue is not just an issue of gay rights, but also that of civil and human rights. Every person in society should be given the opportunity to wed whomever they choose to love, regardless of their gender, religion, race, and of course, orientation. As the years pass, more people are opening their minds to the idea that homosexuality is not corrupt or immoral; in the future, perhaps those beliefs will translate into equality for all.
The actual paper isn't spaced like this one, but LJ is stupid and apparently doesn't know what a paragraph is, lol.

06:21 pm - In My OpInIon SeEiNg Is To KnOw..... Went on a walk a while ago, just 2 miles.....so that makes 3 days of walkin' this week so far...... woop.
Here are some old superstitions for ya:
-Bad Luck: Walking under a ladder - A leaning ladder forms a triangle with the wall and ground. Triangles represent the Holy Trinity, and violating the Trinity by breaking it (walking through it) would put you in league with the devil himself.
-Bad Luck: Black Cats - In ancient Egypt, the Goddess Bast was a black, female cat. Christians, wanting to rid society of all traces of other religions, convinced the ignorant that black cats were demons in disguise and should thus be destroyed. In the process, they also destroyed the kindly ladies who cared for the cats, believing them to be witches. Being demons, a black cat crossing your path would create a barrier of evil, cutting you off from God and blocking the entrance to heaven.
-Bad Luck: 3 butterflies together
-Bad Luck: Breaking a glass while proposing a toast
-Bad Luck: Getting out of bed left foot first
-Bad Luck: Singing before breakfast
-Bad Luck: Friday the Thirteenth - The Scandinavian's believed that the number 13 was unlucky due to the mythological 12 demigods being joined by a 13th, an evil one, who brought misfortune upon humans. It was also said that Christ was crucified on Friday and the number of guests at the party of the Last Supper was 13, with the 13th guest being Judas, the traitor.
-Bad Luck: To pass anyone on the staircase.
-Bad Luck: New shoes should never be left on a table

11:14 am - WaTcH yOuR wOrDs The subject line also happens to be the song of the day :)
Alter Bridge "Watch Your Words"
Watch your words Or your words might drown you And cure my wounds And the light will blind you
To truly see well You must have faith Oh the righteous they can't wait A saving grace That we all know Let us pray Let us hold on
[CHORUS]
I can't breathe I prefer to find a ceiling To the hate of mine I can't win I can fight no more I am drowning And I'm sick inside
Push no more And the day will find you Speak no truth And your ways will end you It's alright And you must move on
Though the damage Has been done Cherish the life And the ones you hold Can you change Can you go on
[CHORUS]
To truly see well You must have faith Oh the righteous they can't wait A saving grace That we all know Let us pray Let us hold on
[CHORUS]
Uh huh.
So Jason woke me up this morning at 8:30 by throwing rocks at my window. I just love my silly little boyfriend (is it politically correct to call a 6'4" tall man "little" btw? lmao)........I made french toast and sausage and coffee for breakfast.......it was yummmmmmmmy.

You know what I hate? When the media gets all up in the relationships of famous people. Take this Hot Gossip column from MSN.com for example. Now I am being a total hypocrite by criticizing the media, because I am interested, yes, I admit it, I am....but ya know what? I hate the fact that im interested...we're all so pre-programmed now to be interested in the lives of celebrities, that it's almost impossible not to be. So I hate the media for being so damn invasive, and in turn making all of us oddly fascinated with celebrities. Thank you.
